University of Phoenix CAP eases transition to college

Several University of Phoenix students in Cleveland share testimonials about how the Center for Academic Progress (CAP) helped them to succeed, learn skills, and prepare for college classes. One student attempted college twice before and dropped out because of bad grades. She found campus resources through CAP that helped her succeed in writing papers and preparing power point presentations. Thanks to CAP she is now succeeding in school and getting her Bachelors. Another student has been at the same job for 13 years and is a mom. Most jobs she applied for required a Bachelor’s degree so she couldn’t get ahead. She attended in-person CAP classes and teleconferences from home. She felt very overwhelmed with power point and writing papers, but now she is an “A” student thanks to CAP. CAP was created to ensure students have the academic support they need to be successful. The program is designed to provide students with skills in time management, studying, reading comprehension, technology use, and resume/interviewing skills.
